Healthy Diet

According to Dr. Jessica Wu, dermatologist, what a person puts in her mouth, is as important as what she puts in her skin. When food is taken, it’s broken down into tiny particles and spreads all over the body. Too much sugar intake can cause higher insulin which can incite acne breakouts. Also, to have glowing skin, it is better to eat greens. If the vegetable has a darker color, it has more nutrients. These food can help in avoiding the breakdown of collagen.

Moisturize

Moisturizing can help reduce aging and gives off a more youthful glow. The skin will be softer and more elastic. It can also hydrate the skin, especially when living in a tropical country. It is also necessary to moisturize the skin after cleansing, it may be after bath or going to bed. It can be applied even before makeup to serve as a protective base.

Moisturizers have two types; liquid and cream. Cream moisturizers, especially oil-based, is good in taking care of dry and wrinkled skin, while liquid moisturizers that are water-based are good for oily skin.

The sun can easily harm the skin and cause damages. It is also best to apply moisturizers with sunscreen to help protect the skin from the sun, especially for people who tend to go out all the time.

It is best to put moisturizing as a part of one’s skin care routine. There are so many benefits that moisturizers can give. Doing it for a long time can be seen even after a few years because it will show a hydrated and healthier skin.

Exfoliate

Exfoliating seems to be one of the skin care process that people tend to skip, but doing it gives more cleansing and moisturizing to the skin. It is true it is not advisable to exfoliate everyday, due to it can cause to excessive dryness, irritation and even redness, but performing it at least once or twice a week can remove dead skin cells and can make the skin softer.

Exfoliation can minimize the pores. If dirt and and dead skin enter the pores, it can be visible and larger. It is also good to manage acne breakouts. Having deep exfoliation can eliminate dirt and excess oil that causes acne. Since the pores are cleaner after exfoliating, it can easily absorb moisturizers and other treatments for the skin.

Clean Makeup Brushes

Makeup brushes touch so many object, from the bottom of the vanity kit, the makeup then the face. When the brush is put in so many places, it can gather different kinds of bacteria and dirt. It is better to clean the brushes at least once a week or more.

There are so many risks if the brushes are not clean, like skin irritation and even breakouts. If the brush hasn’t been washed for a while, it’s bristles tend to harden and can roughly brush the skin which can cause redness and even irritation.

Having great skin gives the impression of a healthy lifestyle. Some people see it as a time consuming process, but the result of it all is definitely something to invest.
